Dieting for Weight Loss and Shrinking Excess Skin

dieting weight loss I’m going to start dieting again. I need to shed my excess weight and get back to a size I’m comfortable with. Dropping my excess weight will be hard, especially since I’m not young and energetic.

There are two parts to my weight loss program. Fasting and eating low-carb, high-fat foods. This combination should make my dieting efforts more effective than one part by itself.

If I don’t do it right, I’ll have all kinds of excess skin hanging on various parts of my body. My wife, Josie, already suffers from it. I know how to fix both of us at the same time.

Fasting is Dieting

Fasting, where we only drink water, causes our bodies to get rid of the bad stuff we accumulate over time. In the past, I fasted one day a week and it didn’t bother me at all. I actually felt better the next day.

I’ll be doing it again, but I intend to slowly increase from one day a week to six days a week, just like Bob at 430 To Fit is doing. That is, until I reach my goal of 190 pounds. That’s when I’ll be sure to keep from backsliding.

Fasting triggers autophagy, as does cooking with and consuming olive oil. Autophagy destroys cells I don’t need, including excess skin.

Meal Planning isn’t my Thing

Interestingly, ketogenic dieting is easy to do without following specific meal plans. All I have to do is eat most of the things I already like to eat.

I only need to give up those things that seem to bother me anyway. Anything made with potatoes (like hash browns and french fries) give me so much gas I rarely eat them anyway.

There are some things I like to eat, on occasion, that I’ll have to give up as well. Things like pancakes and rice. Okay, I want to lose weight but I’m not psychotic. I’ll cut down as much as I can but I won’t give them up completely. Dieting shouldn’t make me crave anything.
